Health in the body expresses itself with subtle movement and fluidity. After physical or emotional trauma, this fluidity may be interrupted, leading to symptoms of pain or disharmony.

The cranial practitioner is trained to feel very fine levels of movement and lack of movement. The client's healthy core is already trying to make the correction to improve the free flow of life force. The practitioner's job is primarily to add some extra energy and focus to unlock restrictions. Then the client's own system, the 'breath of life' can do the healing.

Julie Franklin, co-owner of Dragonfly Yoga and Wellness Studio in Penn Valley started studying healing work at age 18. "In my studies of yoga and herbal medicine, it was the energetics of the healing systems that kept me seeking a deeper understanding. I started craniosacral work 15 years ago with a class and an apprenticeship with a skilled bodyworker. This form of healing resonated with me at a core level. Two years ago, I finished a 4 year certification program at the Milne Institute for Visionary Craniosacral Work. My Craniosacral work blended with my Acupressure work (Certified from the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley California in 1996) creates a dynamic healing session. My passion for this work is woven into my life long journey."

Louise Preston, a bodyworker for over 30 years and a long time student of Aikido and meditation, Louise specializes in Craniosacral Work, Orthopedic Massage and Pediatric massage. She has studied Visionary Craniosacral Work with the founder, Hugh Milne, and taught Craniosacral Work for the Milne Institute for 10 years as well as Advanced Bodywork Tools for bodyworkers at the Phillips School of Massage

With a special interest in pediatric craniosacral work, Louise wrote her thesis for her craniosacral certification on a study of children with developmental disabilities. She studied pediatric craniosacral work with Benjamin Shield, and massage for children with special needs with Shay Beider.
